Hermana Chill☝️Week 4

Hola familia y amigos

This week was so good, and time just continues to fly!  Only 2 more weeks here in Mexico!!!

Spanish is coming along!! And I can confidently give a lesson woot woot!!!

We had two amazing devotionals this week and they brought the spirit into this week! I strongly suggest re-listening to any of Elder Bednar talks! He is so inspiring and there is always a good message in there somewhere! The other was pretty great, and he told us to "rip out your heart and place it on the alter for God” not literally but it sounded pretty serious!

My District has found our love for beach volleyball! We love it so so much! Although I got smacked hard in the forehead the other day, we are still going strong and enjoying playing outside! It is so nice to play in the sand and not be stuck inside!

Spiritual thought:

"There are so many wonderful things ahead"

Yoke yourself with the Savior! And he will guide you and gives you the strength you need to continue!

catch y'all next week *finger guns*

love you all so very much!!!

"la vamos banos chica" what a wonderful phrase! Week 3

 Hola Amigos y mi familia

To be honest I'm not exactly sure where the week went haha.
But besides that it has been such an Amazing week and I have gotten so close with my district And my companion but most importantly , I have grown so close with our loving savior jesus christ! I'm so excited to be a missionary and to share his light and comfort too anyone who are willing to listen
And I know that there are so many people in California that need Jesus ( in the nicest way possible) and i'm so happy To be the light that comes into their life when they need it most!!!

Highlights of the week! Woot woot

 - Coming in first was my helping others experience on Saturday.
Oh my goodness, graciously. Gifted tongues so so so true. And I'm so so grateful to be able to have that gift and experience it in my life. I taught with my companion a wonderful mother and her 3 daughters all in espanol. So yeah, stressful! Anyways, we got to share our testimonies and a lesson about the plan of salvation. And it was so amazing to share because her testimony was already so strong and being able to talk to her about the plan Of salvation. we started our lesson, it was pretty pretty scary. After we finished with our lesson, we both shared our testimonies and spirit was so strong. Our friend shared her testimony in Spanish and although I only understood maybe 10% of it. I knew her message and I was able to hear what she wanted to tell us and I was able to hear 2 specific things and first being. She thanked us for loving her and her family! and the second thing she said was. Thank you for being willing to be a missionary. We need you and holy cow. She started crying as she's telling us and man i started to leak as well. In that moment I knew my purpose as a missionary. And I know I meant to be where i am and i am definitely supposed to be learning Spanish. and I'm so excited to continue to learn Spanish!
 - Second highlight is matching skirts and scripture bag that I bought at the tienda !!!
 - Saw a chillis ๐ŸŒถ on the way to the temple, and it was a really pretty drive!

Anyways, I don't have much else to say besides Pday temple days are absolutely crazy haha.because they take all day, which we're in the temples so i'm not complaining but its along day! And everything being in Spanish is rough!

catch y'all next week *finger guns*
love you all so very much!!!

New friends and new places to see!!! . . . Week 2

Fair warning this email is a little crazy, haha.

Monday was pretty good! I helped my family with a taco fundraiser at Providence Hall truly getting into the serving spirit. Classes were nothing special, just lots of espanol and learning about my missionary purpose a little bit more, as well as just preaching my gospel basic lessons and helping for the mission
Tuesday- oh my goodness today was so crazy my whole District kind of was a little bit tired so the energy was a little bit low but I know the spirit was still there with us and we were able to get what we needed to get done. Then we had a helping others experience where we taught a volunteer, me and my companion Hermana Leary did so good. We were able to teach about Joseph Smith and the restoration. Something that stood out to me was the volunteer who was helping us, he had another group of missionaries tell him about how we shouldn't say Joseph Smith WAS a prophet because he IS still a prophet because we believe in the other side of the veil. I thought that was interesting and I hadn't thought about that before.  That was really cool and to hear about his life was so cool and I'm so excited to continue to hear about other people's lives as I go serve the people of California. Tomorrow is my last day of Home MTC woot woot!!!
Saturday
I don't know what happened to the rest of the week…. I made it to the CCM -(MTC) wooot woot. The trip wasn't too bad and we made it without any problems. Also shout out to Hermana Barlow from Snow Lodge apartment 10. I got to travel with her to the CCM which was so amazing and so awesome to talk with her. I love my roomies. We only have two other girls that are in our apartment that are not in our district! But it has been so good. The last few days have flown by, but also it's only been a week!! I have had a lot of meetings and devotionals and lots and lots of sitting for long amounts of time and running to our next place. But everything had just been amazing and I can't wait to spend 4 more weeks here.
Sunday! You would not believe it but I did not eat ice cream on Sunday!!! This Sunday was Fast Sunday and everyone was asked to do a 24 hour fast. It was less of an ask and more mandatory since the commador was closed for breakfast and lunch. But still the fast was so worth it, sadly when I got to dinner the ice cream they had was all melted and not delicious. But we will try again next week! Testimony meeting in spanish is surprisingly not as scary and confusing as you would think ! Haha.
Monday night(10/14) I am so excitied for P-Day. And to talk to my family and to share this second email. Holy cow the gift of tongues is so so real. the difference that I have been able to see in my life and speak more espanol has been absolutely crazy, haha. I know that as I continue to spend the next few weeks here in the CCM that my testimony will only continue to grow and I will be able to share my testimony confidently with the people California.
Tuesday Today we are headed to the Mexico City Temple!! Its about an hour away from the CCM so it was cool to get out and see Mexico a little, traffic is always crazy but Mexico is so pretty!!! THE TEMPLE IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND SO PEACEFUL!  Even though I was confused because of Spanish, the spirit was so strong!
I miss you all at home and I miss hearing your voices and talking to you all but I do know that this is probably the best place on the Earth, because the spirit is so so strong. there's nothing else to it.
Besides, it is so perfect anyways. I don't really know what to say so much has happened and it has been so crazy here. But if you have any questions and you would like to talk please email me. I would love to talk to you guys and to hear how your lives are going!!!

Highlights
Your shoes are not broken in enough no matter what you say! I got some narly blisters!!!!
The gym time is so fun and I got to lift some heavy stuff!
Food here is pretty amazing!
The plants and flowers here are so so beautiful and they are just everywhere
Espanol is coming along just very very slow!!!!
And the birds!!! Oh my goodness it is so peaceful it sounds so fake but it is just wonderful!!!
I would love to hear how everyone is doing back home!!! Send me some emails!!!

catch y'all next week *finger guns*
love you all so very much!!!

The Start of Something New....Week 1

 Buenas Tardes!!!!

My first week as a missionary! Oh, how amazing it has been! There is nothing too exciting this week, lots of Spanish, Preach My Gospel, and blessings. And the fact that it's been super weird adjusting to missionary life! it's weird to not have a change of scenery but just next week I will head to Mexico and I will have to adjust to so much more!!

Anyway, classes have been super amazing! I love my teachers Hermano Lasa and Hermana Quลบman they are both so patient and so supportive I know that they will continue to be the best teachers!

I have been able to learn so much Spanish this week, as many of you know Spanish is not my strong suit, but with lots of prayers and studying I'm starting to comprehend some Spanish and I was even able to share my testimony and a prayer! It's not memorized but hey I can still say it!

I hope you all have taken the opportunity today to listen to Conference and if not I invite you to listen to a session tomorrow!! The Lord reveals his gospel through prophets and with an open mind and a prayerful heart I know that you will be revealed all that you need to hear! Take time to feel the spirit and listen to our loving apostles and prophets speak!!!

Not too much to say this week but, in the next email I will officially be in the CCM !!!
