Hellooo
This week was sooo long and crazy! But the sun was out and joy was everywhere!
Tuesday we planned out our week and talked to so many amazing people and found some cool friends that wanted to come to English class !! We also went over to Hermana Castro and had the most amazing and delicious homemade tortillas!!
Wednesday we had a fun road trip! We got to go to Camarillo for an appointment and I got to see my new member Rene again
I miss it there!!!
Thursday.....uhh this day was rough I don't even remember what happened. We had a lot of lessons canceled and we were just running around like headless chickens!!
Friday !! So much love in the air!! Maybe a little too much... I was on exchanges so Sister Adams came to Santa Paula with me and we partied all day!!
We were given flowers twice!! And this guy, who me and Hermana Leary met last week, came up and was just a little too friendly!
Saturday! We had a phone call with a new friend! He asked a lot of deep questions and Hermana Leary and I tried so hard to understand and explain with the Spanish we know! We also got to help out with the Spirit of Santa Paula, a little food pantry! Soo fun and we got to practice our Spanish even more!
Sunday! We had Rafael come to church! We dropped off cookies to some of our members!
Highlights:
☆ the most important thing I will ever receive in my life: a dead bee in a cup of water from a random guy that called us beautiful
☆ made really delicious cookies....
☆ Maria y Laura
☆seeing Rene again
Happy holy week!!!!
I want to extend the invitation given by Elder D. Todd Christofferson in his April 2023 conference talk "One in Christ”
"Today is Palm Sunday, the start of Holy Week, marking the Lord’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem, His suffering in Gethsemane and death on the cross just days later, and His glorious Resurrection on Easter Sunday. Let us resolve never to forget what Christ endured to redeem us. And let us never lose the overwhelming joy we will feel once again on Easter as we contemplate His victory over the grave and the gift of universal resurrection."
Let us remember this week he who gave us all! Let us resolve to NEVER forget what Christ endured for each and every one of us individually! and let us Never lose the overwhelming joy we will feel once again on Easter as we remember him!
I can promise that no matter where you are spiritually, mentally, or physically, the one thing that can bring you that Overwhelming JOY is Jesus Christ!!!
Remember him and allow yourself to receive that greater love that he has for you and to feel his overwhelming joy!
have a great holy week
Love you all so so much
catch y'all next week *finger guns*
Hermana McVey
