Have faith in your dreams and someday, your rainbow will come smiling through Week 34

 Helloooo

This is going to be a really quick email. I have a headache and I'm waiting to see if I win a cake decorating competition! The picture will be in the google album, so join it....

Anyways, this week was honestly pretty chill, nothing too crazy went on, and it went by pretty fast!

We had the craziest English class live...ever! I think it has like 90 thousand views and it's just so funny because sometimes I think that Hermana Leary and I don't know what we are doing, but we must have done something right to have so many people interested in learning English with us! There were also just the most craziest comments ever !!!

Wednesday I have no clue besides the fact that I had exchanges with Sister Adams and we went to Pizza Man Dans!

Thursday I learned the word palmadita! so that was really fun... and we taught English class as usual and we had a ton of stop bys!! My bestie Sergio said that we were best friends again (for some reason he stopped being Hermana Leary and I's friend.... so that was sad) but he added us back on facebook again and we are homies now!

Friday we were putting up some English class flyers and met the coolest girlies ever! and also stopped by an old friend Christina’s and basically just yapped for like 30 mins! She gave us cookies and bananas so it was fun!

Saturday...we had some lessons, drove around some really nice houses, and talked to some really nice rich people! We re-invited our friend to be baptised and he is thinking about it so we will see how that goes! And then just partied it up at English class with Juan Miguel and we are new friends!

Sunday!!! Claudia came to church again !!! Juan Miguel came to church for the first time ever (he was definitely bribed with cookies but he still came). Then we heart attacked a member's house and they invited us in for dinner! And then we accidently heart attacked this random house and this guy opened the door right as we were putting papers on! He really appreciated it but also was very confused! I love him though!

overall 10/10 week!

Highlights!

- beautiful houses

- the best bridge sunsets

- Sister Johnson calling us special:)

- Hermana Leary and I stayed up way too late...

spiritual thought- I just want to share a scripture with you all

Mosiah 15:9

"having ascended into heaven, having the bowels of mercy; being filled with compassion towards the children of men; standing betwixt them and justice; having broken the bands of death, taken upon himself their iniquity and their transgressions, having redeemed them, and satisfied the demands of justice"

the Lord being filled with compassion took upon himself our iniquity and our transgressions, and redeemed us from the bands of death!

Because he loves us we are never out of reach of his sacrifice, we never have been, and never will be!  Never forget that! you are loved!!!

Love you all so so much 🤍🤟🫶

Tranquil as a forest, but on fire within . . . Week 33

Hello!!!! 💙

This week basically flew by!! but there is so much that happened I don't even know where to start!

Tuesday we had a zone conference so we got to go to Oxnard for the day!! We got to say goodbye to our mission nurse, she goes home at the end of this month :(

We also had to say goodbye to our beautiful White Rav 4..... we had many fun adventures with it.....but in return we got a brand new Gray Rav 4!! Which is crazy, who lets 19 year old girls have brand new cars.... but we love it!!!  It has 33 miles on it 😯

Tuesday night we went and visited with our members and ate pupusas, and then had to run back to the church to do our facebook live!

Wednesday we did everything we didn't have time to do on Tuesday, so we did all of our weekly planning and then went over to Hermana Castro's house for some delicious homemade tortillas! We also had some super fun lessons! I don't remember what else but I know I made some delicious pasta salad!!

Thursday I have no clue what happened.... but it was probably a good day

Friday! I went on exchanges with Sister Adams. It was a crazy day. I saw so many amazing miracles and was able to find so much joy in the work. I think it's fun to escape Spanish land and have some English lessons!

Saturday was our mission walk day, so we walked as much as we could and it was super super fun! we talked to so many people, as always we talked to all the really really friendly people! We also met this super super cute doggo we dont know its name! Then we had to run to the church because we had a lesson with our friend before English class! Then we just partied it up during English class!

Sunday!! We saw so many miracles! The first being that our sweet new member Vicky came to church for the first time since she was baptised 9 months ago! This was such a blessing for us, and the ward was so happy to see her again! Then after church we went to some members' houses and heart attacked their door and left them some treats. It was overall just an uplifting day!

 **Spiritual thought**

"We can feel joy regardless of what is happening - or not happening- in our lives. Joy comes from and because of Him. He is the source of all joy."

Joy is not alway being happy, but choosing to find joy despite your circumstances!

I love you and God loves you, and he wants you to always have Joy, always!!!

Love you all so so much 🤍🤟🫶

Look at this stuff isn't it neat? Week 32

 Helloooo

I missed you all, it's just been so long!

This week was just an all time high, loving part 2 with Hermana Leary and we are vibing in the nice, hot California weather!

Tuesday was your normal Tuesday. We did our weekly planning and taught our English live! If you're still not following the Great CVM mission pages you really got to go follow them!!  I also gotta eat the most delicious tamales with Hermana Castro!!

Wednesday I went on exchanges with Sister Gray!!! I love Sister Gray!! We had lots of stops and had an amazing lesson with our member Hermana Martinez! We shared a message and she fed us watermelon and burritos... very delicious by the way! Then we had just the most amazing lesson with our friend Sebastian and our member Hermana Juarez! Then we got fried ice cream!!!

Thursday was a pretty normal day as well except we finally got to go visit one of our members, the Mansfields!! I love them so much! They are so sweet and we got to eat some delicious Panda Express!! Then as always, we went to our English class! Super fun! We met with our friend Alonso and also our other friend Carlos! Carlos is really nice.... but we love him! We just had the English elders come and hangout with us for a while until he left....

Friday and Saturday were so fun. It was quite literally boiling but we had some member stop bys and met some really fun people at the park! We found out really quick if you start a conversation by complimenting someone that they will offer you beer.... and that they are very much not interested in learning more with us... anyways Friday and Saturday we had to teach an English class so basically like everyday we were teaching English but we love it!!

Sunday!! Literally such a fun day. We were able to call home and say Happy Mother’s Day. During sacrament the youth handed out some chocolates to all the moms.. I wouldn't consider myself a mom but the youth still gave me and Hermana Leary some yummy chocolates! Then we did our normal studies and ended with going to the Juarez house for a fun member meal and we just partied for a little bit!

Spiritual thought:

Hope is a living gift, a gift that grows as we increase our faith in Jesus Christ. " faith is the substance of things hoped for " we build this substance- the evidence blocks of our faith- through prayer , temple covenants, keeping the commandments , continually feasting on the scriptures and the words of modern-day prophets, taking the sacramentserving others, and worshipping weekly with our fellow saints. "

My invitation continues from last week, if you didn't take time to study faith that's okay you still have time! If you don't know where to start, start with a prayer! Then open the scriptures or a talk from our prophet, if you want help reach out! I promise that it will bless you continually as you grow your faith in our savior Jesus Christ!

Love you all so so much 🤍🤟🫶

Hear the Words, Have Faith! Week 31

Helloooo family and friends!! it's always so amazing to get to hear from you! I would love to hear from all of you!

This week was surely one to remember! transfer #5 and I'm staying here in Santa Paula, with Hermana Leary so not much change for us! What a blessing!

This week can be wrapped up pretty short but we explored some new places in our area, and enjoyed the beautiful weather here, it hasn't gotten too hot yet so we are very grateful for that! And of course we spent so much time walking around and talking to everyone !! We talked to a ton of people! We had some pretty crazy experiences with some of the friends we ran into, but the work will always continue!

The main thing I want to share is that Saturday I spent the day with an apostle of the Lord! My mission was blessed with the opportunity to have Elder David A. Bednar come and share his love and light and knowledge with us! Oh my goodness it was sooo amazing!!

My entire mission gathered together for the first time in years!! I can't even begin to describe the amazing spiritual power that was in the room! I have shared it with a few people but he focused a ton on the principles of the gospel! There were many questions asked but every single answer could have been answered with Faith is the first principle of the gospel! and Faith is action and power! It is so powerful!

There are many many things that I would love to share with you today and so many amazing quotes and feelings but, a testimony is not gained by listening to someone share thoughts, but only through your own action and a willingness to learn! This week I will be studying faith! and I encourage you to do the same to gain for yourself a testimony of faith! I know that growing our faith can change who we are to better be in tune with God's will! I will end with my testimony that I know that God is our loving Heavenly Father and he sent his son to earth because he loves us and wants us to feel joy and wants us to come closer to him by growing our faith in him, repenting of our faults and by remembering the covenants we have made and blessings we have received from them!

I love you all so much and I know that we can be happy because our savior Jesus Christ is Risen!

Love you all so so much 🤍🤟🫶
