You'll be in my heart . . . Week 18

Helloooo

As a new out of training missionary I feel like I could overcome the world… of course only as a missionary and only with the very bestest of friends, Jesus Christ on my side!!

This week was the last full week of my second transfer!! We find out transfer news Thursday and then we move Thursday!! So this week is pretty normal for the most part until Thursday. I'm hoping I stay here in Cam… but who knows what the lord has in store!!

Anyways let's get started!!

This week was the shortest week ever but we had so many things happen!!

Tuesday We had the mission tour and holy cow what a day, we received so much inspiration from Elder Homer and his wife!

Wednesday Hna. Moon had MLC and so I got to go with Hna. Olavsen for the day! We called so many friends and had a few lessons and it was such a good day!

When Hna. Moon got back we went to dinner with our friend Eva again and she made us the best homemade enchiladas ever!

Thursday We had a ton of back to back lessons and it was just super fun to talk to all of our friends and to teach them. We definitely went home super dead but it was so fun!!

Friday I had exchanges with Sis Coletti! She was so awesome and so patient with me as I led out the area. Leading out is a little terrifying. But it is also just a testament of my faith and trusting that the spirit will help me talk and say the things I need!

Saturday We had a lesson with our returning member and we got tamales!! Then we went to one of our members house and had a tamale making party with a bunch of members!! It was so so fun and they actually turned out pretty good !!

We also just ate so so many tamales!

Sunday! What a day! We Had so many friends come to church (it might have been because we said there would be tamales after….) But still they came and it was so awesome!! After church the elders in the English ward had a baptism so we got a few of our friends to stay for that!!! And then we just had lessons the rest of the day!!

Highlights!!!

Spiritual Thought:)

I just want to share a little testimony on Jesus Christ. I'm so grateful for him and his atoning sacrifice! I'm grateful to know him and to be known by him! I'm so grateful to be able to change into who he needs me to be!

I love him and I know he loves me and I know with my whole heart he loves each and everyone of you and he knows your pains and your struggles and he died on the Cross for each and everyone of us!

Seek after Jesus Christ!

He died for you!

1 Nephi 21 :16

Your name is engraven upon the palms of his hands he knows you!

I love you and I'm grateful for all of you🀍🫢

Seventeen se se seventeen WEEK 17

 Hola!!!!

This week has been soo good!!!

This is the last full week of the transfer and boy am I nervous!! I love this area so much I don't want to leave!!

Tuesday we had our usual weekly planning and called all of our friends to set up lessons. We have so many amazing friends we just need them to come to church!!!

But anyways we got to go to Toppers with some members and we got delicious pizza!!!

Wednesday!! Oh my goodness Wednesday was crazy, a new fire has started in Dan Clarita and the smoke went directly to us so for the majority of the day we were inside trying not to inhale too much smoke, but we are safe and we didn't have to evacuate!

This is the first fire that had truly affected our area, we haven't had any smoky days so it was definitely a little shocking!

It was a little funny because Wednesday Morning we were walking through an apartment complex and we mentioned what a beautiful day it was and then by the time we got out of our appointment it was like boom, smoke everywhere! But we had two member meals that day. Well we went over for lunch with a member and then for dinner one of our friends invited us for dinner, she's not interested in learning from us but she said she wants us to come back for dinner this week! So hopefully we will just go over enough that she will eventually want to listen to us talk about the gospel!

Thursday was a pretty normal day. There was a little fire that started here in Camarillo but it didn't affect us much. But Thursday we had some lessons! We started on our podcast and did comp study podcast style, I don't know when but eventually we will share those videos! Then as we were leaving comp study a group of older men showed up and invited us to play ultimate frisbee, they play every Wednesday and Saturday and they were so cute!! But we told them we were missionaries and then they were a little less interested… but we went over to the Rivieras for dinner. They have a son who's preparing for a mission so we were able to share some helpful tips!!

Friday I had my last mentor session :( shout out to Brother Peterson he is truly a homie! But he has been so helpful in my training! And now I'm officially out of training!!

I don't really remember a ton from this day but I do know we had another member meal with the Rangles!!! And called a gray record named Maria! She was the sweetest Abuelita ever!! She made us feel so loved and called us her angels and precious daughters!! Sooo cuteeee

Saturday… well I lead out the area with Sister Kuli and it was pretty good. For some reason all of our lessons canceled or had problems so it was pretty stressful, but it was still a really good day! I got to work on my Spanish all day!!! But we had a cute miracle. We were walking past this guys house and he stopped us and was like you are doing amazing work and he was proud of us and he was like keep on going there's people waiting for you! It was super sweet and definitely a message from God! We needed it!!!

Sunday!!! Marcela & Jorge and their kids came to church!!!!

Marcela is the sweetest ever and she has the cutest little kids, she has her son Liam who we just love in lessons but he is a little bit crazy all of the time, I'm pretty sure I've talked about him before! But anyways they loved church and just were so excited to come!!

It was pretty rainy so we didn't get to talk to many people and a lot of people canceled our lessons because of the rain… bummer but we did get two lessons in and they were such good lessons!!!

Highlights!!!

☆ so many member meals!!!!

☆ I GOT SCRIPTURE JESUS STICKERS!!!

☆ podcast!!!

☆ last mentor session with Brother Peterson :(

☆ MarΓa

☆ spiderman!!!

~Spiritual Thought~

“ The Savior urged us to look unto [Him] in every thought; doubt not, fear not. When we focus on the Savior, our faith can start to overcome our concerns. As President Dieter F. Uchtdorf encouraged us to do: Please, first doubt your doubts before you doubt your faith. We must never allow doubt to hold us prisoner and keep us from the divine love, peace, and gifts that come through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Elder David p. Homer Oct. 2024

I have been studying this talk for my personal study this week and holy cow it is so amazing!!

Have faith in Jesus Christ our Savior! I know that he loves each and everyone of us with a pure and divine love and as we take the time and make the effort to fear not and to grow our faith in him we will be blessed for our actions!

Love you all so so much πŸ€πŸ€Ÿ

If you walk the footsteps of a stranger you'll learn things you never knew you never knew Week 16

Helloo!!!!!

This last week has been pretty amazing, we had a few days where we were not on fire watch and the winds died down a little…but we have high wind speeds again this week so we are hoping no more fires!!!

Anyways, this week was so good!! Because of our amazing find grind the last week, we were able to have so many lessons everyday (which is so good, seriously, we had like 10 lessons each dayπŸ˜…) that gave us the opportunity to have so many members join us in lessons and it was just a great week to share and hear amazing testimonies!!!

We finally got our apartment fixed this weekend so it's no longer a million degrees and thanks to the sisters for letting us borrow their fans!!!

For the rest of the week we melted, and sorry to the Glades, we definitely had way too many fans going, trying to cool down our apartment!!😬

I went on exchanges with Sister Workman, and I love English work but holy cow it's crazy! I got to have another lesson with Gina!!! She is so sweet and I have got to have a few lessons with her when I go on exchanges! But her and her husband are both on date (date for baptism) and they are so ready!!!

Let the spirit guide!! Friday night we had a lesson with our member and our friend Jorge! We were talking about the Holy Ghost and our member shared his testimony on baptism. He said he would like to be baptized so we invited him to, and he is so excited!! Definitely wasn't planned but the spirit was so strong we had to!!

I had my second to last mentor session!! Meaning that after this week I am done with training… absolutely so crazy how fast time goes by!!

On Saturday ISOLEIL GOT BAPTIZED!!!!

One of our new members' daughter got baptized this weekend! She is just a fireball of energy but we love her!!! And her baptism was so amazing! Sadly only one of our friends came but he was so excited he basically invited himself to be baptized soon yayy that is so exciting!! (he said he wants to be baptized in May… But that's okay!)

Highlights!!

☆ Hermana Moon and I are starting a podcast!! πŸ˜ŽπŸŽ₯🎀
☆ our cute friend Marcela and the cutest kid Liam (he's kind crazy but he's adorable)
☆ Soleil tried kissing me… not funny haha funny weird!!
☆ Danny gave us cool microphones to do our podcast πŸ˜ŽπŸŽ€
☆ we made tortillas for the first time!!!!

Spirit message!!!!

Colors of the wind... Week 15

Hellloooo

This is gonna be super short so sorry, somehow the day is just not long enough to do everything I need to, and I probably spent way too much time sleeping at the church....

But anyways!! I am safe from the fires! I am not too close to them they are about 30 minutes away! We are prepared, but we haven't had to evacuate, fingers crossed🀞The winds are crazy though

The winds are crazy though!

This week was pretty amazing me and Hna Moon were on the find-grind and found some amazing friends!!!

We have a baptism this weekend end for a new member's daughter!! And we are excitied to help prepare for that!

It will be a blacked out blur, but I'm pretty sure it will rule!!!! Week 14

Hello families and friends!!! Happy new year!!!

I have officially started my black out year! And I'm so excited to spend every day this year centered on Jesus Christ and teaching his gospel!!!

Sorry this week was busy so there's a lot to say!!

This week was pretty good, not a whole lot of partying!

Monday we celebrated with the district and had a 4pm new years party and we had finger foods! Super delicious! And then we played Rage Cage again, whoever invented that game has some serious explaining to do!

Tuesday we took an emergency road trip to Sespe, the other sisters in our area were in need of a car so we drove there and back and got them the car, it took all of our comp study and lunch but we stopped at Pizza Man Dan's on the way back and we got delicious calzones!

Then we had some lessons and they didn't show up so our members just invited us over for dinner. We had little Cesar's pizza and tamales, one of the best meals ever!!

Then we went to the church for the New Year's Eve zoom! And had a great discussion about the book of Mormon!!

By the time we got home it was 8:55 and we put on a countdown for 9, we had our bottle of Cider and did our own countdown! Then we were in bed before 10!!

Best New Years ever!!!

Wednesday! Hna. Moon had MLC so I went on intercambios with Hna. Olaveson! She is such a cutie!!! And she taught me so many helpful things!!! Then after MLC me and Hna. Moon had some lessons that did not show up as usual :( it's okay we just have a lot of people forget! But we had one amazing lesson with our new Friend Hector!! He is the sweetest and just feels us with joy! We read with him the children's Book of Mormon and watched a lot of cool book of Mormon videos!!

Thursday!! I finally went to the chiropractor!! Which is a small victory! I didn't feel like an old lady for this weekend so yayy!!!

We got Julio back on date woohoo keep in your prayers that he will be able to feel prepared!!

Nothing else super special happened besides our member's meal. We went to toppers for one of our members' birthdays and we celebrated with their family!!

Friday!!!

Had my IFPMGT or my mentor session lol super good, he always gives the best advice!! Then we went to Maria, she was someone that used to be taught but had to stop for some reason, but she is so sweet and knows almost everything about the church, but she just doesn't have the desire to learn more or get baptized but we are hopefully going to help her to see the blessings she can receive!

Then we had an amazing lesson with our friend Robinson! We had the Rangles join in the lesson, and it ended up being the Rangels teaching the lesson and we talked maybe 2 or 3 sentences each… it was still an amazing lesson and forever grateful for them, also random background info. The first time we met with Robinson he was late because he told us he was in the ER because he cut off about a half of his pinky and ring finger. He was very mindful of it and kept it in his pocket every time we've met with him so we were thinking it to be an excuse but then during the lesson he told us how it happened and showed us his hand and yep his fingers are just gone!!!

Anyways before the lesson Hna. Rangel Gave me and Hna. Moon breakfast burritos in plastic bags and they were freezing cold, but we had no where else to put then besides in our pockets we laughed about that for a while

Since our lesson took forever we were running late to a member meal we had but we made it on time and she was super sweet about it!

Saturday!

It was a walk day and I did an exchange with Sister Coletti!! I was in Oxnard for the day and it was so fun!! We had some lessons and lots of phone calls! We were sitting in this park when a little pipe bomb went off. On the other side of the park it was by some cars and so they were going off but everyone else just looked and then continued on with whatever they were doing. Me and Sister Coletti just looked at each other and laughed, but some cute old man came and checked on us because he saw our concern!! πŸ˜‚

We went to a member meal and had some good fried chicken! and finished with some GameDay in a Starbucks!!

Sunday!!!!

What an amazing day!!!

First off it was a fast and testimony meeting! Second off it was the first time the branch got to meet in the chapel!!! Such a special day and so many members shared their testimony it was just so precious!!! After church we had a break the fast lunch and you just know the food was top noche! We had tostadas and pasta. We had some rosca de Reyes and guess who got the baby!!! Not me! But Hermana Moon did so now we have to make tamales for the branch sometime!

The rest of the day was really good. We just did some stop by and some calls!!!

Highlights!!!

☆ pocket burritos!!
☆ we got to drive the minivan!!!!
☆cute cats!! everywhere in somis!!
☆ elders so kindly telling us to not be piles!

Spiritual Thought!!
We talked about perfection In our zoom last night!
Colossians 4:12
“ Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.”
We compare perfection with completeness. We can be complete by doing what God asks us to do, reading our scriptures, saying our prayers, going to church, not just keeping covenants and commandments but living by them strictly!
Through Jesus Christ we can all be complete, we can be perfect like him!!!
Love you all so much! I love hearing from you all even if I don't respond I promise I'm reading them!!!

catch y'all next week *finger guns*

If you keep on believing. . . Week 13

 Hola mis amigos y familia!!!

Feliz Navidad y Feliz aΓ±os nieve !!!

I hope everyone had just the most amazing holidays!!!!

First off guess who hit 3 months….. me!!! In Fact it's TODAY!!!!

What a crazy but amazing and so so wonderful these past months have been. It's gone by so crazy fast! I feel like I was just in the MTC last week!!

Anyways!! This last week was pretty good!!

Started the week off strong…with a cold… that took me out most of pday! But we took Tuesday really easy, sadly we had to cancel our member meals for Christmas eve but the Zurchers are so so nice and they brought us homemade soup. She said it's the perfect thing to heal me! And I sure did still have a stuffy nose And a cough but I felt so so much better after that.

We took Wednesday pretty easy as well. We talked to our families in the morning but then got to work after. We had 2 lessons and they both showed up (we don't have a lot of luck with people committing to meet with us) but that was such a Miracle! Besides those we made sugar cookies for our members. Then we went to a members house and she had made the most delicious cookies for us to hand out to our friends!!! Super super sweet so we were able to go over and package up some cute cookies and take them to our friends!! What an amazing way to spend Christmas. They invited us to come for dinner as well so we were able to have a good Christmas meal with them!

Super blessed to have such an amazing branch!!!!

Thursday was pretty good. We found a few people, ate extremely good tamales from a member and pozole!! We had it for dinner that night and it was so so amazing!!!!

The rest of the weekend was really good!! Stayed pretty busy, found some amazing friends and had really good lessons!!!

Spiritual Thought!!!!

“You did not come this far to only come this far” president Rodriguez said that in our Christmas day zoom call and it was exactly what I needed!!! We all have come so far! We all will have times that feel like we can't go on but just look back at the progress you have made, we have a purpose here and it's a lifelong one! We Came here for a reason you've made it this far, now keep going!!!!

Highlights!!

☆ CHRISTMAS!!!!!

☆ sugar cookies!!!!

☆ tamales!

☆ all of our new friends!!!

☆ the elders brought me a new chair… no offense to the church folding Chair…

(I didn't take that many photos this week… I'll work on it)
