Spiritual Thought:)

"It is one thing to be loved and another thing entirely to be trusted

I know that the Lord loves us! I know that we are given responsibility here on earth, and each responsibility can be personal! And I know that the Lord has trusted us with our friends and our family! He trusts us with power, and with opportunities to change and grow, and to help others!!

I pray that all of God's children can feel of his love but more importantly that everyone can earn the trust that the Lord has for us, to work to get to know him and to know the responsibility he had for each and everyone of us

A Whole New World . . . Week 25

 Hello!!!

Same old Hermana McVey but in Santa Paula!!! We had transfers on Thursday and though I hate to leave Camarillo I'm glad to be here in Santa Paula and with my amazing day one!! Hermana Leary!!

This week was really crazy and the next few weeks will be just as crazy. But I'm loving the area so far! It's such a beautiful place and the potential here is crazy!!

I don't remember a ton but I went bowling last pday and that was pretty fun, and then me and Hermana Santa Maria visited another church in Camarillo for our last day together!!

Spiritual message!!!

As a missionary I think one of my favorite things is testifying of the Book of Mormon ( well obviously because I'm a missionary)

But in the introduction there is a promise that we receive

"We invite all men everywhere to read the Book of Mormon, to ponder in their hearts the message it contains, and then to ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ if the book is true. Those who pursue this course and ask in faith will gain a testimony of its truth and divinity by the power of the Holy Ghost."

I promise to you and can testify in my personal experience as you read the Book of Mormon, and ponder in your heart of its truths, you will receive testimony and witness of it.

So go ponder, and pray for enlightenment from the Holy Ghost!!

Love you all so so much ðŸĪðŸĪŸðŸŦķ

You can find happiness right where you are . . . Week 24

Holaaaa

I just want to share a few amazing miracles and thoughts from this week!!

First Daniel is getting baptised!!! If you don't know (I feel like I've said it a billion times so sorry if I repeat) but Daniel is the son of a member that we found here in Camarillo. She was baptized when she was 14 in Guatemala, and we found her over a month ago, and she wants her family to learn and join the church!!! We put Daniel on date for the 29th!!!!

Second!!! We got to celebrate the anniversary of the relief society with the branch and it was so amazing to know that we have this amazing community! It's so beautiful to celebrate as well!!!

And Saturday!! We got to help with service! I haven't been able to do physical service in so long. We helped one of the members move! And it's so amazing to just help others feel the light of Christ!!

This little light of mine ☀️Week 23

 Hello hello!!!

This week was soo soo good!!  And for some random amazing reason the theme of this week was " this little light of mine". It started last Sunday when all day Hermana Santa Maria and I had this song stuck in our head, which continued to p-day and we got it stuck in everyone's head, so we sang it in our district council Monday night.

And then Tuesday we had interviews!! And we sang it as our opening song. If you ever want to feel the spirit so strong, have a bunch of missionaries sing this little light of mine!

The rest of Tuesday was really good!! I had an interview with my mission president and it was sooo good, it was the guidance I needed for this week!! Then after Hermana Santa Maria and I went with some Elders to this Cafe in Camarillo, and we ate milkshakes and watched little airplanes take off!! Sooo cool!!! Then we had a cute member meal with Hermana Compos! Then I ran to the church for English class!! And ended the day by having our friend Arturo accept a date for baptism!! He has so much faith and is so excited for baptism!!

Wednesday!! We had lunch with Hermana Gonzales!! She is such a cutie and I tried bananas and rice for the first time. It was surprisingly really good. I wasn't expecting it to be that good, the rest of the day was really rainy so we just sat in different cafes calling and talking to random people!

Thursday was kinda crazy and I don't remember a ton besides we changed our schedule like 50 times... and Thursday night after it rained all day we came home to our ceiling leaking water... We put out some bowls and are preparing for the rain this week. We hope it gets fixed soon.

Friday I was on exchanges with Hermana Olavenson and got to spend the day in Oxnard and for the first time I did language study in a Burger King 😅 kinda crazy there's some fun people in Oxnard. And then we got kinda lost in these apartments in Oxnard and wandered around trying to find our lessons.

Saturday I woke up feeling pretty sick but we still kept going and had an amazing lesson with Juan!! He is preparing for baptism and is just so so amazing. Please keep him in your prayers. He is trying to get over some pretty hard things! Saturday we got to go to dinner with Danny, our branch mission leader and some of his friends that served in this mission a few years ago. And then we ended the day by getting blessings from the Elders!!!

Sunday was amazing as always!! I woke up with very little voice, which made it hard to talk to everyone at church, especially our friends that came. Daniel came and he is the cutest he wants to get baptised!! His mom is a returning member who we found a few weeks ago!

Also we had dinner with the Avila family! I tried ceviche for the first time! It was interesting but so good!!!

I want to invite you all to share your light this week! It can be In any form but each one of us has this special light that God has given us for us to shine! So let it shine!!!

And If you haven't listened to this version, you should go listen to it ☀️ðŸĪðŸĨģ
