There is truly so much to say in this email!! The last two weeks have had so much going on!!! (lol sorry for not sharing like any deets last week the day went by so fast)
But last Monday we ended up having to change apartments which was crazy and unexpected! We found out late Sunday night that we had to be packed and ready to be moved out at 9:30am, so we got up super quick and packed everything! The rest of the day was pretty chill. We played rage cage with the district and got Subway!!
Tuesday was sooo good. We got a lesson with Juan!! He is one of our amazing friends (you'll find out later in the email we put him on date) anddd we got to have an amazing lesson with our cute friends Leticia and Aurora! Aurora was baptized last spring and she just turned 91!! She is such a cutie
and Leticia is her daughter who has the strongest desire to be baptised!! Sooo we put her on date for the beginning of March!! She is so excited and has been telling everyone that she is getting baptized!!
Wednesday!! I don't remember a ton but we had a lesson with our friend Rene! And had lunch at the Rangels!! The Rangels always feed us the best food ever and this week we got Pozole
Thursday lowkey I don't remember much but it just rained all day long!! And so like 90% of our lessons canceled and no one showed up for English class but it was still a great day
Friday!! What a great day to spread the love of God. I don't remember anything that happened during the day but at night we partied it up with the branch and had our English class live! BTW go follow the clase de inglΓ©s page Hermana Santa Maria and I teach the lives Tuesday and Friday (it's definitely more I just answer questions and comments and she teaches but still)
Saturday we had exchanges and Hermana Olaveson and I were busy all day. We had lessons with all of our friends on date for baptism and the best part was Juan accepted a date for baptism! I have never seen someone with the amount of faith he has! But please keep him in your prayers he is in a lot of pain and needs the extra love
Sunday such an amazing day we had Julio and Rene at church!! We were so worried about Rene not coming! He's getting baptized next week!! And we called him right before and asked where he was and he was at Dennys!! He's such a cutie!! And he made it to church on time! And after church we had a great lesson with him…it definitely was way way long… but so worth it!
Highlights
☆ RenΓ© is so ready for baptism and is basically a missionary already
☆ Juan accepting a date:)
☆ Best branch ever and they know how to party like no other
Spiritual Thought!!!
I was studying in this talk this week and holy cow it is just so powerful I love a quote from this talk it goes:
“ The answer is yes. You can survive. You have in fact already been rescued; you have already been saved—by the One who has suffered the very torment you are suffering and endured the very agony you are enduring. Jesus has overcome the abuses of this world to give you power to not only survive but one day, through Him, to overcome and even conquer—to completely rise above the pain, the misery, the anguish, and see them replaced by peace.”
I just want to add my testimony to his that Jesus Christ is my savior, he is my brother and my friend. He knows what I have gone through, what I am going through, and what I will have to overcome and I can promise that he knows you! Jesus Christ overcame the challenges of the world for YOU. And I promise that he knows you and if you turn to him he will always be there for you! Through him you will not just survive you will conquer
